Preparation and impression
The tooth is shaped to receive the crown and a digital or conventional impression is taken. A temporary crown protects it meanwhile.
Fabrication at our lab
The crown is made at Rapidontics Labs, our own digital dental laboratory, which keeps the turnaround short and the shade matching under our control.
Fitting
We check the fit, bite and shade before cementing. If anything is off, it goes back to the lab rather than being cemented anyway.

Common questions — Crowns & Bridges
Zirconia or PFM crown — what is the difference?
A PFM crown has a metal core under ceramic: strong and economical at ₹3,000, but the metal can show as a dark line at the gum over time. Zirconia is metal-free at ₹7,000 or ₹12,000, looks more natural and does not create that line. For visible front teeth zirconia is usually worth the difference.
What does the 5-year and 10-year warranty cover?
The warranty covers fracture or failure of the crown itself under normal use, and reflects the grade of zirconia used. It does not cover damage from accidents, or decay in the underlying tooth caused by poor cleaning. We will explain the exact terms in writing before you choose.
My crown came off — is that an emergency?
It is urgent but not usually an emergency. Keep the crown, do not try to glue it yourself with household adhesive, and call us. If the underlying tooth is intact we can often re-cement the same crown for ₹500.
How long does a crown last?
A well-fitted crown commonly lasts 10 to 15 years and often longer. What ends a crown's life is usually decay in the tooth underneath at the margin, not the crown material — so cleaning around the gum line is what determines longevity.
